Message Just a date note... My references say the use of "Made in ..." started (by law) in 1914 as did the use by the Japanese of "Nippon" for marking. In 1921 the Customs Bureau disallowed the use of the term "Nippon" and required items be marked with "Japan". Assuming this piece conformed, that dates it between 1914 and 1921.
