Can you tell me about this carved bar?

I inherited this beautiful carved bar. I know nothing about this type of art. I know that it comes from asia (the Phillipines perhaps) and is made of teak(?). The handles are carved into the pattern.

What is the value of this bar? How can I get it appraised?
