Jessie, This is a nice older Kyoto reticulated vase in Satsuma-grade stoneware, slip-painted in the Moriage style, with a motif of flowerheads and "Mon" (family crests), all within an arabesque field called "Karakusa" in Japan. Its lower mark in gilt isn't revealed distinctly enough in the photo for me to read completely, though I think the first character is "Kyo" (an abbreviation for Kyoto), and the last one, "Sei" (Made). The red writing is a factory quality control marking, which I believe may indicate this to be the second part of a pair, which should be on the right when displayed together. If someone else doesn't recognize the rest of the gilt mark, I might be able to figure it out from a higher resolution close-up.
Regards,
Bill H
