Message If it looks like a fake, and walks like a fake, and quacks like a fake, then it must be a fake, and there's probably a fence nearby. Bad part is that eBay itself helps predatory sellers flog obviously misrepresented wares by forcing their ads into the search results of collectors and buyers like us who do everything possible to exclude the awful offal they offer from our searches. In my view, most people with a real antique to list have no reason to pay extra to advertise on a place like eBay. That's my opinion, and yes, I believe your instincts in the matter are right-on!
