I picked up this piece 3 years ago, I was told by the seller that This art piece was in a box with a slave reciept that dated 1840. I took it to a art professor and they told me it was older than 1840 , They thought it was early 1800's. This piece was in a frame, I took it out because the art professor told me the acid would ruin the picture. On the back of the old wooden frame said db buttle and son. the picture is about 18in wide and 12 in tall. I am looking for any more info on this pic. also If anyone call tell me who done this art it would be great.
I can take more pic if needed.
thanks lee
