Who is R E Russell (signed RU//ELL on painting, print)?

I bought a painting / print at an estate sale that's signed by R E RU//ELL or Russell(?). I've tried to do a little research on the artist, but haven't found much. The scene is of 3 Asian (I assume because of the clothing)men/women each carrying 2 baskets connected by a bar across their shoulders, down a mountain path towards a swing bridge. Any suggestions? Thank-you for any help!
