Message Hi Bill H. and Jannis, As far as I know the Kinkozan factory closed in 1927. The addition of DAI to Nippon is commenly accepted as being (mosty)of the Meiji period. As You (Bill) noted this isn't a typical (the later ones often have a mountain picture in the mark) Kinkozan mark but I have the feeling that it is in fact a Meiji piece.
