Message The good news is: it looks like your seal was made of dark green nephrite jade. The bad news: It is neither OLD or antique, it is MODERN, probably made in China, with the intention of selling it as archaic or Neolithic jade seal to unsuspected "collectors". Both its material and carving quality are inferior and wrong. The style and carving of its seal scripts are equally wrong and horrible. In short, there is simply no point to interpret it. Sorry. I hope you did not pay too much for it, if you did, you may want to consider returning it for a refund. I am surprised your two "experts" could not tell you what it is or they might not want to hurt your feeling. B Post a Response |
