First, it would help to know from what part of Asia the object originates. A museum will have a curator for Chinese art, Japanese art, and other regions. I've been able to find the curator by asking at the front desk. Also, I've learned the curator by reviewing the online websites and looking at the current exhibitions. Usually, the curator is mentioned. Once you have the name, call the museum and ask to be connected to the curator.

An excellent way to sell is to contact one of the famous auction houses (Sotheby's, Christie's) in your area. You will need an auction house with a good Asian department.

Cheers,
Stan
