Message Hello Irene, You're asking Bill H. so I don't know if I'm alowed to write anything (:. Well..... I do half of it and let the other half to Bill H. (still kidding) Your plate is Japanese and is marked with "Hizen Arita" (right row) I'm pretty sure it isn't made before Meiji period but the lack of back decoration makes me also think it's made later on in 20th. ct.
