Qing Dynasty Vase...Qianlong Period? |
Posted By: Shelley Posted Date: Dec 05, 2010 (02:16 AM) |
Message Hello, This vase was a gift over 10 yrs. ago. from a friend. He bought it at an antique store. Recently, I've been learning more about Chinese symbolism and after noting the imperial dragons on the piece and otherwise, I'm intrigued to know the authenticity, age and potential value of it. Also, there is a worn sticker on the inside with gold foil lettering that says "something I can't make out, that is 3 letters", followed by Huang. I can also make out the word Beijing on it. The sticker appears to have what may be dragons and/or phoenixes in gold on each side of some Chinese writing on it as well. (The picture I took of it didn't turned out a bit blurry. So, I didn't include one, for now.) The mark on the bottom appears to be the Qianlong yoyong seal. If anyone can confirm any of the above or offer more information, in general, I would greatly appreciate your time. Thank you. Shelley |
