Message Alan, the picture didn't make it but the link was accessible through 'properties' data. I can verify that a similar mark is in 'Sumida According to Us' by Herbert Karp and Gardner Pond, although it is transcribed as 'Koko', apparently meaning potter Ishiguro Koko. The same source states that Sumida was 'fashionable' for about 40 years, 'from the late 1800's to the mid 1920's.' Presumably Koko was working during this time. Best regards, Bill H.
