Chinese calligraphy - Artist ID & what does it say? |
Posted By: Tim Posted Date: Feb 03, 2011 (09:51 PM) |
Message This calligraphy measures about 36" (97cm) x 12" (32cm). Photos can be seen here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/23676403@N07/sets/72157625846563377/ I would like to know what it says and the artist. Back of the frame it says it came from Peking, China 7/81 (July 1981 I beleive). Also, is this considered 'tourist' quality or better? I have not seen brush paintings of birds & flowers mixed with calligraphy like this, but I was thinking that during the 1980's that there was a lot of artistic expirementation. Nevertheless, nice to look at. Any help is greatly appreciated. Post a Response |
