Hello.

I recently received these two wood carved (I Think)Vintage Chinese Statues. They appear to be carved from box wood and then lacquered black which is chafing in small areas on both carved statues. I believe the one statue of the Asian Man with long beard is the Chinese God of Longevity, Shou Xing. I have no idea who the other statue may be. Shou Xing measures approx 15 inches tall, the other 15.5 inches tall. The bottoms of the statues appear as if maybe they had been trimmed with some type of saw at time of making.(See Photos) Each is pretty heavy. I estimate each of their weight at around 2-3 lbs. There no markings as far as makers type mark.

If anyone could please help identify these two wood sculptures and or assist me with the approximate age I would deeply appreciate it.
My direct email address is [email protected]

Thank You!
