Re: Another Old Chinese Seal |

Message Hello Paul and Mike, The cloisonne items shown don't appear to include a seal. The piece at the top of the photos looks like a tray for holding pens (or brushes in Japan or China). The handled item at lower left is a blotter, and the capped one at lower right, which is shaped like a pagoda roof, seems to be an inkwell. In my estimation, this probably is a 20th century writing set of fairly recent vintage and possibly meant to appeal to Western markets. Best regards, Bill H. Post a Response |
