Re: need help to identify my porcelain |

Message This is Chinese porcelain with a famille rose motif of four-seasons flowers. The base-mark says 'Tongzhi Nian Zhi' (Made during the Tongzhi Reign - 1861-74), but this cup looks a bit clean for that period, so could date from the first quarter of the 20th century or somewhat later. FYI, an insurrection known as the Taiping Rebellion resulted in considerable destruction in and around the kiln center of Jingdezhen in the mid-1850's, resulting in a higher incidence of production flaws for several decades, while the complex was being rebuilt.
