Message Person died 1981 could purchase item 1980 for some practical use. Noted collector can be given modern trinket by ignorant acquaintance. Item can be sold from famous collection because was mistake by owner. Museum can sell item discovered not authentic (damaged, rebuilt, married, or reproduction). So 'provenience' often mean nothing. Good luck, Cal Post a Response |
