Help with Bronze - Faux Ceramic |
Posted By: mjbakst Posted Date: May 18, 2011 (12:07 AM) |
Message I'm wondering if anybody can help me with any info about this great little bronze I've recently acquired. I'm assuming it's Japanese. It came in it's original box with old padding, yellow cotton cloth, and green/brown silk/cotton (I think) ribbon, and stands approximately 8 1/8" tall. Is this a functional piece? Saki container maybe? Is it perhaps made to look like a famous old antique ceramic container? How old? Can anyone read the mark on the bottom? Thanks in advance. Post a Response |
