You'll find late 19th-to-early 20th century Satsuma-style stoneware painted and presented in various forms besides vases and dishes. Buttons are somewhat common, and I've collected some of them that are about an inch in diameter.

Smaller discs that otherwise might be suitable for buttons are found mounted in fashionable items of jewelry, including cufflinks, your tie pin and bracelets (see images herewith).

The value of these items varies with how elaborately the stoneware is decorated. You might wish to check websites like trocadero.com and rubylane.com and use their search features to check on current asking prices. Just use the keywords 'Satsuma', 'button' or 'buttons' and jewelry terms like 'pin' or 'brooch', etc.

Good luck,

Bill H.
