We found this at a garage sale and there just happened to be a guy from Texas their who could read the characters on the bottom. He told us it was Qing dynasty and Kangxi period. The man who wrapped it for us dropped the lid and broke it, that is why you dont see it in the pictures. If anyone can help me determine if its really a 300 year old artifact or tell me what the four characters mean or have any tips on getting the lid fixed that would be much appreciated, It would be the coolest piece we have ever came across and we would be beside ourselves if it was actually an artifact, thanks and have a good day to all
