Stone Vase |

Message Durring the 1950's up to 1980's the faux cinnabar vases were made like this and painted red; yours is a faux ivory style from the 1970's they are made from resin and stone carving dust mixed and pressed into a mold, then machine carved. On eBay they have many names; search asian resin vase. The red resin ones are called cinnabar vases, if they have chips along the edges a cream color will show on the fake cinnabars. Some are molded around brass, but are faux ivory and cinnabar. A objet d'art; decorative object", made for Americans. Post a Response |
