Message This isn't a pattern I collect, but I believe it dates to late in the fourth quarter of the 19th century. The painting is pretty good, but the enamels lack the brilliance of those on earlier export wares, and the gilt is less bright too. These issues probably reflect shortages of quality pigments and other materials due to late Qing economic woes. Best regards, Bill H. Post a Response |
