Re: japanese woodblock print signature |

Message The artist is Kunisada (signing as Kunisada aratame nidai Toyokuni ga (Kunisada changing his name to the second Toyokuni)). From the censor seal, it was printed in 1844-46 but he didn't start signing as Toyokuni until 1844 and this signature was used in 1844/5. Cheers, Stan Post a Response |
