Qianjiang porcelain plaque - Artist? Translation of Poem |
Posted By: rat Posted Date: Aug 04, 2014 (12:41 PM) |
Message The stated date corresponds to summer 1921, product of the Yonghua Company. the couplet describes a scene of trees, cloud, and green. Not sure this should be described as Qianjiang, but is a much more painterly scene than usual (probably due to its large size) whose dramatic rock forms remind me of late Ming painter Wu Bin. Interesting to see such exact edges around the picture, seems rather atypical. Post a Response |
