Message The vase is Japanese, and Japanese ceramics makers certainly were well represented at late-19th and early 20th century world trade fairs and expositions. Absent any other provenance, I'd usually estimate the age of a vase in this style to circa the first quarter of the 20th century. However, sourcing it to the 1939 New York World's Fair wouldn't be out of the question, and it wouldn't necessarily have been sold by a Japanese dealer at the event. Best regards, Bill H.
