Re: Identification of Chinese Jade Seal (1) |
Posted By: mikeoz Posted Date: May 08, 2016 (03:48 AM) |
Message Not jade, but possibly a very valuable piece of HuangTian stone from ShouShan in Fujian province. The raised inscription on the side reads Hua Hao Yue Yuan 花好月圓 which is commonly used to congratulate someone on their wedding. The seal face inscription at this time escapes me, but looks like either Dan Zheng Zhi Tian Qi 旦正支天豈 or Shi Zhi Tian Qi 是支天豈 but I can't make a lot of sense from either yet. Post a Response |
