Looking for some help with an old bowl

Anyone willing to take a look, would be greatly appreciated!

There is a chance it may be from Africa. Only because the persons mother whom I recieved it from said her mother purchased many things of African origin.

No markings at all.

She thought that the bowl went to this African stand. She was not sure though.
