Auction of Asian and Indonesian Textiles

To Whom It May Concern:
We are writing you to alert you to an auction of Asian, Southeast Asian and Indonesian textiles being sold on May 1, 2007. We are fortunate to have the textile collection of Dr. Charles E. Mullin (1890-1953), professor, chemical engineer/collector and author of Acetate Silk and Its Dyes. Dr. Mullin�s collection was assembled between 1920-1933 when he traveled extensively throughout the orient researching chemical dyes for his book and for the Celanese Corporation.
The collection is particularly rich in Indonesian textiles, tie dyed textiles from Japan, India and France, Chinese and Japanese embroidery, as well as some European and ancient Egyptian examples. There is also a textile related photographic archives of professional quality that is absolutely fabulous.
