Satsuma vase

I have an old Satsuma vase. It's about 4 feet tall. I am interested in finding a buyer and do not know where to start. I was hoping to obtain advise at this board since my wife and I tried to find a buyer a couple of years ago. We had one potential buyer offer us $300 for the vase. before we sold it, we did additional reseach and learned that this particular vase has a potential of $25,000 and we were getting scammed. When we confronted the potential buyer, he insited that the $300 was a fair price and then doubled his offer. that trigger even more alarms. Any thoughts?
