I have spent many hours seeking this pottery mark from internet, no success so far. Posted pictures to eBay forum and nobody recognised.

bought it from Japan, flea market, seller told he had no idea where it is made or when. cost 1000 yen. bought it b/c I kinda remember I saw such a mark in Antiques Roadshow/UK. not sure though.
someone suggested it is Chinese character Fu - happiness.
So, if anybody has any idea of its origins, maker or value, please help.
