Identifying a Japanese pottery, circa 1968.

Message
At the very kind suggestion of Mr. Robert Yellin of the Yakimono Gallery, I am posting in hopes that someone can help me identify the pottery (or even the potter) that created the pieces shown below.

A bit of background. The pieces are part of a set of 10 cups and saucers; they were purchased by my mother in 1968. The original box (if there was one) is lost, but the box in which the pieces were packed is marked "the factory of [a] National Treasure potter, 1968".

There are no markings and no design - each piece looks like it has been dipped in some sort of heavy white slip/glaze (forgive me, I am not a potter and don't know the proper terminology). Still, they are very pretty in a simple, rustic way. The saucers are approximately 5.5 or 6 inches in diameter.

I do not believe that the pieces are in any way remarkable; my query is based on pure curiosity.

I very much appreciate any assistance or ideas for further sources for research and thank you all in advance.
