Hello everyone. Please help me take a look at this vase which is being offered at a rather high price as a genuine piece of the Qianlong period. It is very well-made and in very good condition.
Unfortunately, a friend of mine told me that although it is a beautiful piece, it is rather new, since the mark is over glaze, which started to be common in the beginning of the 20th century, and all earlier marks were almost exclusively under glaze. I have been unable to find extra proof of this claim though.
What do you think?
