Please Help with Unusual Imari Detail

Dear Forum Members,

Are you able to help shed some light on a decoration detail of an eight-inch tall Imari jar? It is unusual in the sense I have never seen decoration like this on the base of a piece.

The entire base is decorated in fired-on enamels in a pattern that I can only describe as a mandala which is incongruous with Imari.

Are you familiar with a base being decorated this way? Can you provide a reference to other pieces with base decoration.
