This Japanese iron or bronze tea kettle has been in my family since the mid-20th century and was likely new when acquired, although I don't know this for a fact. I have taken a photo of the Chinese characters on the kettle, and hope that someone may recognize the maker. Sorry, at least in my previewed message, the photos I've uploaded are appearing turned 90 degrees to the left and I don't know how to rotate them.
