The big auction houses have high thresholds as to what they will take....typically $5,000 or higher for the low estimate, but their estimates are so conservative that unless your piece is $10,000 or more in value, they will often pass on it.

I've only recently tried a Chinese auction house...I'll update you on how things turn out in November.

I also sold through Henry Butcher auction in Malaysia....very professional.

Your welcome to share privately with me photos of anything you are looking to sell. I'm quite an active buyer, but as I mentioned, you'll need to have a price in mind or seek a third party for appraisal purposes.
