Cath,
All items shown in the 3 posts are Kutani ware.
In my opinion the ones in other 2 posts probably 1930's. Unfortunaly I did not recognize the marks, perhaps another expert knows what it says. But in case in can found out more, I let you know.
The mark here on the tea pot is the signature of Watayasu 綿安, an art name of WATAno YASUtaro. Date circa 1920. Made for the Europese and US markets.
Watano Yasutaro Shoten (shop) was started in 1885 in Yokohama. His pieces are Kutani Yokohama style and are signed Watayasu. Watayasu was not a painter, but a trader and exporter. The Yokohama traders always seconded the painting job to outside independent painters from Kutani. In 1923 the big Kanto earthquake devastated Tokyo & Yokohama, destroying all pottery in stock and making almost a stop to all Yokohama Kutani activities.
Regards,
Martin.
