a friend of mine has a Mahakala sculpture made of jade or other hard stone. please is possible to have a look? size 38cm and weight 9kg

Going by your photos, that is not Jade, it is soapstone.

If you think that the stone is hard, make the scratch test
With a strong needle, using enough pressure, make a 2-3 mm scratch. Then look at this tiny line, and tell us if it is white or black
