Subject:Can you help identifying a chinese center pot
Posted By: Janice Drake Sat, Mar 23, 2024 IP: 2601:188:ca00:39b0:6

please identify this chines center pot. It measures 10 " by 4 " high. The first picture is of the bowl and the second image is of the marking on the underside of the bowl.
Thanks for your help, Janice Drake

The red seal mark is I believe that of the Qianlong period (1736-95).
However the bowl itself is much later. Around the 1970's.

This is a bowl with a stamped, apocryphal Qianlong six-character seal mark. The faces, the stamped on decoration and strange colours are a clear indication of the PROC era.
