Subject:Opinion/Estimate of value please
Posted By: Marie Hansen Tue, May 15, 2012 IP: 74.100.88.115 This piece is titled (so we were told): "100 Birds to Meet the Queen". We received it in 1981 as a gift from a Chinese national who told us it was over 100 years old. Any estimates (even close ones) would be appreciated. Measures 40" w x 20" h |

Posted By: rat Wed, May 16, 2012 perhaps the queen of birds but not "the queen" but rather "the phoenix". this and your other hanging were most likely new in 1981. pretty good quality for the era though. |

Posted By: courtoak Mon, Sep 03, 2012 This is one of the most popular silk pic. ever. You find them in Chinese homes and restaurants everywhere. A bit older than 1980s may be production started in 60s or 70s. Purely decorative value. |
