Subject:tiger painting on silk

Posted By: Roger Thu, Mar 07, 2013 These are all original paintings, probably by young atrists trained specifically to do tigers. Other paintings on silk included tiger cubs, Geishas, cherry blossoms, etc. Since they were available in many of the stalls along the Ginza at that time, they may have been turned out by a school of artists using generic marks. |

Posted By: Meg Sun, Aug 18, 2013 I have one very similar that my dad brought back from Japan when he was in the Jayforce, from New Zealand. Just after the war on peace keeping mission. I thought it was the same painting, that is how similar they look. |
