Posted By: Bill H Sun, Mar 30, 2014 Flipped 90 degrees clockwise, the mark reads down and across from the right as "Made for/by the Hall of Eternal Victory" (Yong sheng tang zhi - 永勝堂製). This would appear to be related to the Yongsheng (Eternal Victory) Ornamented Porcelain Factory in Hong Kong, which has come across the scope here a few times in the past. See link below for further details. Then, if you have any reason to believe that whatever you possess with this mark on the back is a true antique, please feel free to help fulfill the goals of what otherwise is an Asian art discussion forum by posting pictures of it for opinions. |

Posted By: Jim Tue, Oct 07, 2014 Hi Bill, since it doesn't seem as if the poster is going to show his vase, I'm taking the liberty of showing one with the same mark. Appreciate any comment you may have, Regards, Jim |

Posted By: Bill H Wed, Oct 08, 2014 The blue & white floor vase has the same mark, so I'd ditto my previous conjecture and opine that the piece also appears to be related to the Yongsheng Ornamented Porcelain Factory in Hong Kong, with associated firm across the border. Although Hong Kong has special status as an economic zone, I believe labor costs probably are less elsewhere in China, such as the Shenzhen economic zone on Hong Kong's northern border. |

Posted By: SusanH Thu, Oct 09, 2014 I'm sorry for not including a photo of the item. Here is the plate that has the mark about which I inquired. Perhaps you or someone else can give opinions on what I have. I appreciate the help. |

Posted By: Jennifer Jensen Tue, Feb 16, 2021 Hi Bill. Thank you for helping to identify the mark with one of your prior postings. I will upload a three photos, including the makers mark, which I hope will help in identifying its place of origin and any significance. |
