Subject:Hokusai - The Thirty Six Views of Mt Fuji
Posted By: Gina Thu, Oct 08, 2015 IP: 107.77.75.56

I was given this set after my grandmother passed away. It is a complete set (46 images) of Hokusai's 36 views. I've searched the web and read lots about the artist and his work. However I'd like some history on this set. It is in the original cardboard box and all images are in individual folded paper covers inside a fabric covered case. Images are 10.5" x 15". The cardboard box has what I believe to be a publishers stamp on the back with the word Kyodo. I'd like to know the age of this set, how they were sold (ie: in Japan only...) and if it has any value.
Thanks

Hokusai prints have been and still are reproduced by the thousands -- just like these. They are worth what the dealer priced them at.

Not sure why my 3 images all ended up the same file, but here are 3 more. Having to crop images to fit...
