Subject:Ming or Ching inlaid furniture

I lived in Taiwan during the late 1970's and while I was there I purchased several pieces of furniture with beautiful light wood inlay and they depicted a battle of some sort. The pieces are a set of 2 southern official hat chairs with a tea table that has a hidden drawer and also another table that was decorated with the inlay on four sides so it was probably set in the center of a large room.
I have never seen any other pieces like these though I have heard inlay wood mentioned in books written in the early 90s. What I have read said the remaining pieces are bulky and not the style liked by the US/Euro establishment. I believe my pieces must have an historical significance since it tells a piece of history verses just depicting flowers and vases. Has anyone seen anything like this and is there a market in China if not the western world for these pieces now a days?
