Subject:Does anyone know anything about this print?
Posted By: CuriousM Sat, Oct 15, 2016 IP: 100.37.109.187 I bought this years ago and I've always found it slightly unsettling. Can anyone tell me what the story is? Or anything about this at all? I got it from an estate sale and it didn't have any information about it. |

Posted By: Stan Mon, Oct 17, 2016 It is a Japanese woodblock print. It isn't signed. It merely people at play along the bank of a stream. Nothing sinister. |

Posted By: Stan Tue, Oct 18, 2016 I dug out my references. I think the publisher is Sen-Ichi. |

Posted By: Guy Tue, Oct 18, 2016 I see no signature on this Japanese woodblock print either but it bears a kiwame censor seal (circular seal) and the 1820s-30s publisher's mark of Izumiya Ichibei. |
