Posted By: B. Cha Thu, May 11, 2017 IP: 24.67.136.123 What is this mark and what can you tell me about this plate? The mark seemed very unusual to me. |

Posted By: Martin Michels Fri, May 12, 2017 The mark says: Fukagawa 深川 Sei 製 (Made by Fukagawa) and this is a mark of the Fukagawa Seiji company, founded in 1894 by Chuji Fukagawa (1871-1934). |

Posted By: Bill H Sat, May 13, 2017 This is a Fukagawa mark. According to oriental decorative arts expert Sandra Andacht, it isn't the mark but the pattern that often is the determining factor in assessing age in Fukagawa porcelains. Since I haven't seen this particular pattern before, I'm afraid I have nothing else to offer on the charger. |
