This is going to strike many as a really strange question, but as Jimmy Durante used to say... Anyway, I was just offered this rather striking lamp, which, it turns out, is a large vase that has been converted into a lamp. The bottom is not visible, having had a lightweight wooden base attached to it, so I couldn't see if there were any markings on it. It's in very nice condition, with an abundance of golden artwork surrounding the characters, who look to be from a stage. My immediate sense was that the vase is probably early 20th century (if that), but I was hoping that the learned members of the forum might be able to tell me more. Circumstances didn't permit a lot of closeup photography, but hopefully, these attempts will suffice. If I were to buy it, it would not go through life as a lamp, so I'd like to learn as much as I can before deciding. Many thanks in advance.

Hard to tell from the picture, but doesn't look like there is much age.
