Subject:Question for Bill H.
Posted By: Bokaba Thu, Jun 29, 2017 IP: 2605:e000:af16:3b00:

Hi Bill,

I have been very impressed with of the examples you use. I was wondering where these examples come from. Are they your own pieces? Do they come from books or other sources? I included a couple of old threads I found with some of your examples.

Not to reply for Bill H., but you may enjoy the great work Michaela Russell has done documenting 20th century Chinese porcelain too: https://watersilkdragon.wordpress.com/category/chinese-porcelain/

As a matter of fact, one of my favorites websites, and one where the demiurge is equally well known. :)

Both of those pieces are from my personal collection. Pictures are from my much neglected catalog.

Cheers,

Thanks Rat! That website looks great.

Bill, do you make your catalog available for forum members?

Thank you

Unfortunately, my catalog isn't in a format compatible with internet sharing. At the outset, I envisioned a printed doc for insurance purpose. A couple of decades and a few computer crashes later, the original files have sustained some damage and need to be rebuilt. I've acquired the necessary Microsoft publishing software and have almost 30 GB of raw photos stored to assemble into an interactive, searchable, cross-referenced document that could be used in a manner similar to Ms Russell's watersilkdragon site. Now all that's needed to do it is to lock myself in a closet with my PC in a manner which won't alarm my relatives.

Cheers,

Bill H.
