Subject:Re: yixing teapot

This claims to be a teapot by noted master Gu JingZhou, but I have serious doubts about the seal. In previous examples I have seen, the characters in the seal are crisp and clear, here they look worn and tired.
The top element of the Jing character is shaky and uncertain, which is not true of the genuine seal. And the Zhou is missing a connection. The small seal under the lid looks like a bad copy of the genuine seal.
Conclusion: this pot looks nice, and may make a reasonable cup of tea, but it is in essence likely a fake.
Here to compare is a genuine Gu JingZhou seal mark.
