Hi, I wonder who this artist is? Someone suggested Gekko Ogata, but could it be right? Wondering with best regards/Maria

That helps. Your print is by Yōshū Chikanobu (1838-1912) and is from his series "24 Paragons of Filial Piety". See link below for one for sale at Galerie Christian Collin.

It is hard to help with such a small picture. We have a Gekko print (below). You can use the signature in the lower left to compare to your print.

Thank you for your answer! What a nice picture! Lovely! I'm sorry for the small picture, I saw it when the question was already published. I have sent the question with new pictures just published now, but probably after you responded. The suggestion is now that it is a Chikanobu, but I hope to get it confirmed through this forum.
