This pot caught my eye at the flea market, no makers seal on it though, any idea on age and grade? thank you.

Hello Spartakos
What caught my eye was the overall pattern which doesn't look traditional or antique in any country I know. The base also looks strange. You have a perfect central part of the base with five or six convenient rust spots then an outer ring laced with dirt and then an outer foot rim with a straight looking outer edge. The glaze looks very fresh although that could be the photo I suppose. The last picture also shows the words at the bottom of a box which "if" associated with the piece would tell you something. It is very interesting I think and quite nice. Best wishes

Thank you very much for the coment David. Unfortunately the box in the photo is not relevant to the bowl. After closer examination I think it is at least partly handpainted, maybe a contemporary piece made to look old. Anyhow it will serve as a pretty fruit bowl of misterious origin.
